    On the occasion of International Women's Day Abu-Ghazaleh Honors ‘Jordanian Women Entrepreneurs’


    AMMAN – HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global), honored Jordanian women entrepreneurs in a special ceremony organized by Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University College for Innovation (TAGUCI) on the occasion of the International Women's Day, celebrated on March 8 every year.
    During the ceremony organized at Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Forum, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh stated that the obstacles women believe are restricting their ambitions are nothing but illusions in light of the digital technological revolution which united all people, urging women not to wait for their rights but to practice them.
    In light of coronavirus spread, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh called on women to fight this epidemic by maintaining productivity, highlighting the role of women in entrepreneurship at the family, society and the world level, saying that ‘women’s empowerment starts with women themselves’. 
    He also pointed to the importance of (Digital Learning – Remote learning) and the official recognition of its importance, calling for transforming traditional education to digital learning. 
    For her part, Dean of TAGUCI, Dr. Muntaha bani Hani, launched a page dedicated to Jordanian women entrepreneurs on TAGUCI website, noting that the page will include success stories of women and their accomplishments as well as their projects to promote their work and services in addition to providing guidance and advice to young entrepreneurs to help them achieve success. 
    Bani Hani added that TAGUCI  will also take the initiative to establish international page for women entrepreneurs from around the world, referring to the hashtag (#TAGUCI for Women) on TAGUCI website in developing women entrepreneurs’ page as well as to organize activities to support equality between gender in addition to providing special scholarships and organizing executive programs to develop their leadership skills. 
    During the ceremony, a panel session was organized entitled ‘Experiment of Jordanian Women Entrepreneurs’ chaired by Dr. Reem Badran, the well-known Jordanian entrepreneur, during which a number of women in different fields shared their success stories including Eng. Elham Ziadat, Founder and General Manager of Bloom Dead Sea Gift Enterprise, Ms. Thanaa Al Khasawneh. Executive Director & Founder- Business & Professional Women Association, Ms. Amina Al-Ramadna, founder of Green Fields Oil Factory in Jordan, and Ms. Mawaheb Al Homsi, founder and managing partner of Actness Company (LTD).
    Meanwhile, Ms. Ayat Amro, who received a scholarship to the United States, briefed the attendees on her opportunity to receive training at NASA space agency, and her achievements in becoming the ambassador of pioneering women engineers at the United Nations
    Meanwhile, the attendees remembered the late Jordanian entrepreneur woman Ms. Aya Abagi, who chaired the entrepreneurial work of people with special needs and devoted all her efforts to serve this category. 
    At the end of the event, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh presented honorary shields to the participants.
